New Recruitment Consultation Service

The DCR is proud to announce its latest unit and consultation service. The Participant Recruitment and Retention Unit (PRRU) helps study teams enhance participant recruitment and retention efficiency and effectiveness in clinical trials. Faculty provide coaching, training, and guidance to study teams to address barriers to participation, ensuring a broader representation of participants and maintaining participant engagement throughout the study. The unit also provides expert instructional design support in developing multimedia tools and direct, hands-on study coordinator support for screening and recruiting participants.

The PRRU offers the following services:

1. Increase recruitment efficiency
— Help develop recruitment strategies and feasibility assessments, and identify catchment areas based on the study population
— Assist in developing tailored recruitment plans
— Connect with other DCR services that assist investigators with outreach and engaging MGB community health centers

2. Enhance participant retention:
— Assistance with crafting marketing strategies to help convey the message and teach potential participants about the study.
— Developing engagement strategies for long-term retention of participants.

3. Advertising and marketing support:
— Design engaging and effective study-specific recruitment materials: flyers, brochures, posters, videos, and social media ads

4. Hands-on support to investigators and study teams:
— Administrative support to display recruitment materials on electronic flat screens in clinical spaces
— Study coordinator support for screening and enrollment

5. Leverage technology and Data Analytics:
