Global Health Research Consultation

The Global Health Research Unit (GHRU) offers consultations on the conduct of global health research and sponsors seminars on general principles for global health research. Dr. Haberer has extensive experience conducting clinically oriented research in multiple parts of the world with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Her studies are generally cross-disciplinary and reflect several clinical fields, such as infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and behavioral science. Research methods are both quantitative and qualitative and include elements of implementation science and data science. All research is grounded in core principles of global health partnership equity and the importance of locally driven and relevant science. Her funding experience includes the US National Institutes of Health, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, other foundations, USAID, and philanthropic support. Additionally, Ms. Garrison has a wealth of experience with global health grants administration and management. Key areas for support include budget development, subawards, ethical regulations, and cross-cultural study implementation.
